Who is this Nail Technician Challenge for?

The Zuri Nail Tech Challenge is open to all Professional Nail Technicians who live in either Abuja, Lagos, or Port-Harcourt.

This challenge is only open to Nail Technicians in these three states, but hopefully, during the next season, we plan to accept entries from Professional Nail Technicians in other states.

What is the Prize for the Winner?

The overall winner of the Zuri Nail Tech Challenge will be announced on the 30th of June 2021, and the winner will get:

1. 50,000 Naira cash,
2. Nail Products worth over 150,000 Naira, and
3. A Sponsorship deal as an Official Ambassador of the Zuri Online Platform.

This is how the Zuri Nail Tech Challenge works:

The challenge is going to happen in three rounds, and after the third round, a final winner will be announced.

Each Nail Technician is allowed only one entry per round of the challenge.

Only eligible Nail Technicians from Lagos, Abuja, and Port-Harcourt will be allowed to participate in the Nail Tech challenge.

This is how it works:

Round One — Entries into the first round starts 10th of May 2021 and will end 24th of May 2021.

During this round, we will give them a picture of a Nail design, and they will be expected to recreate that particular Nail design by submitting an entry.

To submit an entry, they are required to:

1. Upload a one-minute process video,
2. Upload 3 pictures of the Nails designed, and
3. Tag @bookwithzuri and @hbs_enterprise on Instagram.

The Professional Nail Technicians with the highest number of votes will advance into the next round.

The winners from round one will be announced on the 28th of May 2021.

Round Two — Entries into the second round starts 1st of June 2021, and will end 15th of June 2021.

During this round, we will give them another picture of a Nail Art design and they will be expected to recreate that particular Nail Art design by submitting an entry.

To submit an entry, they are required to:

1. Upload a one-minute process video,
2. Upload 3 pictures of the Nails designed, and
3. Tag @bookwithzuri and @hbs_enterprise on Instagram.

The Professional Nail Technicians with the highest number of votes will advance into the next round.

The winners from round two will be announced on the 19th of June 2021.

Round Three — Entries into the third round start 21st of June 2021, and will end on the 28th of June 2021.

During this round, we will give them a list of Nail Materials to work with, and they will be expected to create their own original Nail concept with the materials we listed.

To submit an entry, they are required to:

1. Upload a one-minute process video,
2. Upload 3 pictures of the final Nail design, and
3. Tag @bookwithzuri and @hbs_enterprise on Instagram.

The Nail Technician with the highest number of votes will be announced as the winner of the Nail Tech challenge on the 30th of June 2021.

What makes you eligible to participate in the Nail Tech Challenge?

To be eligible for the Zuri Nail Tech Challenge, you MUST do the following things:

1. Signup on Zuri as a beauty professional
2. Create an Online Business Page on the Zuri Platform, and
3. Follow @bookwithzuri and @hbs_enterprise on Instagram.

We are only going to accept entries from eligible Nail Technicians.

This is How the Voting Process Works

It is our goal to make the voting process as transparent as possible, and that is why we are not only depending on social media votes.

The winners from each round will be selected based on the following voting criteria:

1. Number of Likes and Comments on Instagram,
2. Professional Nail Procedure,
3. Nail Shape Perfection,
4. Polish Application, and
5. Quality of the Content Created.

Each criterion carries 10 marks each, and successful Nail Technicians will move on to the next round based on the following score sheets:

1. Round One — Professional Nail Technicians who score an overall average of between 40 to 50 marks will move on to the next round.
2. Round Two — Professional Nail Technicians who score an overall average of between 45 to 50 marks will move on to the third and final round.
3. Round Three — The Professional Nail Technician who has an overall score of 50 marks will be announced as the winner of the Zuri Nail Tech Challenge.

Who are the Judges for this Challenge?

We are going to work with three judges from each state — Abuja, Lagos, and Port-Harcourt.

These Judges are Professional Nail Technicians with a combined industry experience of over 15 years as Nail Technicians.

They will be judging each entry based on the five voting criteria we mentioned earlier.
